Bea McMahon, RSHM

Sister Beatrice McMahon has had a two-fold focus in her ministry life for decades. Teaching math in RSHM schools and in the Marymount Manhattan College Program at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility filled her days and years with the joy of seeing students realize unsuspected possibilities. The second focus, a writing ministry continues in her retirement years. After long practice of this art for the congregation and its educational institutions, she now writes for various projects and serves on the editorial committee of RSHM Highlights. Deeply valuing the power of the written word, Bea is grateful to God for the opportunity to serve in this way ‘so that all may have life.’
