Twelve Steps and the Teachings of Jesus

There is a foundational connection between the Gospel messages and the spirituality of the Twelve Steps of Recovery. The Twelve Steps, rooted in Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), align closely with Jesus’ teachings, emphasizing honest self-examination, making amends, prayer, service, surrendering one’s will, and relying on a Higher Power (God) for healing. Whether you are familiar with the Twelve Steps or want to gain a greater understanding of them, join us as we examine Jesus’ teaching in relation to them, as well as the revelation of God’s love in our everyday lives.
