As we celebrate the semi-quincentennial of our country, we will take a look at some of the saints who could be known as “Patron Saints of Freedom.” Each of them demonstrates in their own way how freedom is strongest when lived for others. We will focus on St. Katharine Mary Drexel, St. Damien of Molokai, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, St. Kateri Tekawitha and St. Frances Xavier Cabrini.
