Palm Sunday Weekend Retreat at Cormaria Retreat Center

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week and commemorates Jesus Christ’s solemn entrance into Jerusalem, as the faithful welcomed Him with palm branches, proclaiming Him as King. In the Catholic Church, this liturgy uniquely unites joyful praise with the proclamation of the Lord’s Passion. The celebration includes the blessing of palms, the Liturgy of the Word, and the proclamation of Christ’s Passion according to the Gospel. As we enter Holy Week, we are invited to reflect on Christ’s love, sacrifice, and salvation while preparing our hearts for the Paschal Mystery.
