Organ Concert

You are invited to hear Sister Catherine Vincie, RSHM, perform works by Maurice Duruflè, J. S. Bach, Camille Sainte-Saëns, Paul Haley, Dan Kantor and Edward Elgar. These will be played on the Austin organ in the Butler Memorial Chapel of Marymount Convent.

Selections will include Choral varié sur le thème du Veni Creator, Op. 4; “Gigue” Fugue, Fugue in G Major, Ubi Caritas from Quatre motets sur des thèmes grégoriens; Fantasy in E flat; Outer Hebrides – Fantasy on Three Celtic Tunes; and Nimrod.

Vince Peterson, our Sunday organist and cantor, will be joined by some friends to assist with vocal music that supports the organ selections. The particular emphasis of this recital are pieces that are “variations on a theme.”
